Introduce your 5-8 year old to a mini-musical! This is a fun and exciting class for all experience levels where students will work on the basics of vocal training and choreography in a positive and fast-paced environment. Students who wish to will receive a part in a musical with spoken and singing lines. Students may also take part in this class as part of the musical’s ensemble. In May 2025 they will perform in a 30-minute Kids show. Students may not miss any rehearsals or shows during production week. This class will also perform in the Winter Show in November 2024 and the Year End Recital in June 2025.

In this class we work towards a year end production of a one hour musical to be performed at the ACT in May 2025. Every student in the class will be cast in a full scale Junior Musical after taking part in a ‘mock audition’ which teaches them the art of the audition process. This class will also perform in the Winter Show in November 2024 and the Year End Recital in June 2025.

This class is designed for those who have a strong passion for musical theatre and are fully dedicated to their craft. Students will be challenged in all areas of singing, acting, and dancing are expected to have full commitment to the program. Students will work with an Acting Coach, a Music Director, and a Choreographer on a weekly basis. This class will perform in a year end musical in May 2025, as well as the Winter Show in November 2024 and the Year End Recital in June 2025.

For the serious and dedicated performer who really wants to strut their stuff! The Showchoir will be the go-to class at Showstoppers Academy for performance opportunities around the Lower Mainland. Fresh takes on new and old songs, community performances and competitions are all in store for Showchoir. This class performs in the Winter Show in November 2024 and the Year End Show in June 2025, along with other required community performances.

Jazz is a fundamental dance form that complements all other styles of dance. Jazz classes are comprised of warms up, center works, and progressions including jumps and turns. Technique and style through choreography are emphasized. Students will learn progressive skills, dance combinations, and routines. Jazz is offered to all ages and recommended for all students. All our Jazz classes perform in the Winter Show in November 2024 and the Year End Recital in June 2025. 

Make music with your feet! With a mix of technical steps and rhythm combinations, students train their musical ear and their feet in this exciting dance style. Develop and improve timing, rhythm, and coordination as well as strength and endurance. Once you start tapping, you’ll never want to stop! All of our tap classes perform in both our Winter Show in November 2024 and our Year-End Recital in June 2025.

Dance to your favourite hip hop music and learn all the current dance steps from today's popular culture. This program is a high-energy dance experience that is fun for dancers of all ages! All of our hiphop classes perform in both our Winter Show in November 2024 and our Year-End Recital in June 2025.
